Steve Dowling
Director of Collegiate Preparation

Steve Dowling, MS, CSCS joins Stadium Performance as Director of Collegiate Preparation, bringing five years of hands-on experience in collegiate strength and conditioning. Steve designs and implements training programs that prepare our athletes for the specific demands they'll face when transitioning to their university programs.

Steve currently serves as Assistant Sports Performance Coach at Bentley University, where he develops performance protocols for Division II athletes across multiple sports. His experience spans both assistant and leadership roles —  as Assistant Strength & Conditioning coach, then Interim Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Bryant University, where he directed summer programming for football and men's basketball teams. This leadership experience taught him how collegiate programs operate at the highest level and which training adaptations matter most for incoming athletes.

What sets Steve apart? He understands both sides of the collegiate transition. He knows what university strength coaches expect from incoming athletes and which physical and mental skills create success during that critical first semester. Steve will ensure our programming bridges the gap between high school athletics and collegiate performance, giving our athletes the confidence and capability to excel from day one.

Steve's role focuses on three key areas: evaluating collegiate program requirements across different sports and divisions, adapting our training methods to mirror university protocols, and preparing athletes for the intensity and professionalism of collegiate strength and conditioning. His experience working with athletes who successfully transitioned to higher levels gives him unique insight into what works—and what doesn't—during this crucial period.
